does anyone know...

how soon an expecting employee can go on mat leave if there is no medical reason for her to quit working so soon other than mental health? lol

If you have any holidays left to you I would take those as you only receive a year from the date you actual mat leave starts. Example: you come off work March 1 but have enuf holidays to cover until March 14 then your mat leave would start March 15. I would call the EI department and that should help you out with exact details. Whats wrong with your mental health??

Andrea you need a shower...

I've seen showers done for pregnant ladies (well, just once I think). But you should do whatever makes you feel good when you're feeling rotten. For the scoop on leave, here's the Province's stuff:

I think additional leave can be negotiated with your employer. But if you do take a longer leave, I'd try to get something in writing from your employer.
