Oh NO!!! This is totally up to you but one sure fire cure for colic is about an ounce of rye or rum in the bottom of an 8 ounce bottle warmed up(suggested by my Dr.). Oval helped with the gas pains better than gripe water for my baby. The alcohol will help baby to sleep too which will allow you to sleep too. Just an idea but my family has a zillion people and not one colicky baby. Look on the web for other treatments too. I hope you find something that helps!!!

YOu should NEVER give baby alcohol! Brain is still developing! Colick could be sign of underlying issues. Keep a close eye out!

Have you been tot he Dr. Yet? If there is an underlying issue maybe they would be able to detect it. The remedy I was talking about will burn off the alcohol but leave the healing ingredients in it-same as gripe water. Hopefully sweet Karma is doing better and you are getting some sleep. Remember to take a break away from her once in awhile so you maintain your sanity. Luv ya

If you're still breastfeeding, try drinking fennel tea a few times a day. That helped a friend of mine with a colicky baby. It tastes like black licorice. Also, a baby massage helps. Use lotion or oil (I use olive oil with my baby) and rub her back.

Check your diet too. There are a lot of foods that make babies gassy. I can't eat rich foods or a lot of dairy without mine getting fussy for hours. I have a VERY bland diet now, but she isn't half as fussy as she used to be.

Good luck!
